Bill Condon, director of the film "Dreamgirls", should direct this film. "Chante is currently learning her role, talking to family members, watching videos & training with Aaliyah's dance teacher & her friend Fatima Robinson. This film will be for "Selena" fans, who loved Jennifer Lopez" he said.
The film should also talk about her marriage with R. Kelly, when she was only 15. The filming will start next month. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was a R&B singer from the 90's. She got revealed with her first album Age Ain't Nothing But A Number, successful thanks to the singles "Back And Forth" & "At Your Best". 2 years later, in 1996, she met Timbaland who produced her second album One In A Million, including songs written by Missy Elliott. After a collaboration with DMX, she worked with Timbaland again for her self-titled third album. On August 25, 2001, in Bahamas, back from the filming of "Rock The Boat" video (which became a posthumous video), the small plane who took her & her team crashed at the takeoff, stopping her promising career.
